After seeing the music video for one of her songs filmed by a group of soldiers in Afghanistan, Britney Spears decided to show her appreciation the best way she knows how. The 29-year-old singer offered the troops free tickets to see her upcoming Femme Fatale tour when they return home, E! Online reports.
The video, which featured dancing troops lip-syncing the Spears hit "Hold It Against Me," became a viral sensation, and took the soldiers nearly three months to shoot and edit. It was apparently worth the time, as Spears felt touched by the video.
"I was so moved by the 'Hold It Against Me' video ... It warmed my heart to see our nation's soldiers enjoying themselves to my music," she told the website. "I am honored to have them as guests at my concert this summer. I hope they like my show as much as I loved theirs."
Spears is just one of many musicians who have chosen to pay tribute to the Armed Forces by performing for them. Country legend Toby Keith has gone on tour with the USO throughout the Middle East since 2002.
