Better Alternative Eligibility Details

You are eligible to apply for this group term coverage if you are between the ages of 18-59 and on Active Duty, in the National Guard/Ready Reserve (NG/RR), a Retiree/Separatee; a Student/Cadet at a US Service Academy/College who is an officer candidate with a contract to serve on Active Duty; or an Individual Ready Reservist (IRR). A NG/RR must be drilling or training for pay or points, either unit assigned or as an Individual Mobilization Augmentee.

Your dependent children are eligible from 15 days to 21 years old (23 if a full-time student).
