Nowadays, medical coverage is a non-negotiable item in one's life. Going without it is a risky decision that can have a significant financial impact. A health illness or injury could happen at any time and your health coverage can help financially protect you in your times of need.


And everybody's needs are completely different - some need short-term health coverage while they are in-between jobs, others are simply looking for supplemental coverage on top of their already existing health plan in order to cover their out-of-pocket expenses. Student Select
Permanent, renewable health insurance

College students who are:

Undergraduate or graduate

Enrolled full-time

Healthy

Single

Full-time college student for a minimum of 31 days following the effective date of your policy.

Full-time college student (taking nine or more college credits)*, attending a state accredited college or university, under the age of 30 and is able to answer "NO" to the medical questions on the application.

*School definition of full-time student is acceptable.
You chose your deductible, doctor and hospital.

Deductibles range from $250 to $2,500.

If you transfer schools, Student Select goes along with you.

Coverage year round - full-time students are covered during holiday and summer breaks.
Short Term Medical
Temporary major medical coverage

Individuals and their dependents who are:

In-between jobs

Temporary or seasonal employee

Laid off / on strike

Waiting for regular health coverage to begin
Healthy individuals between the ages of 30 days and 64 years of age and 11 months.

Dependent children through age 18 (age 24 if a full-time student). *

Foreign residents living in the U.S. for at least one year at the time of enrollment, with proof of Alien Registration Receipt Card, Visa or other appropriate documentation.

Long Term Care
Custodial care health insurance

Ideal for individuals who:

Have assets to protect in the occurrence of a health tragedy.

Already planning for future financial needs and personal health is not currently a factor.
Varies by plan specifications. Long Term Care plans help to cover the cost of Long Term Care needs; a necessity since:

Medicare only pays for "skilled" care, while Medicaid only covers if insolvent.

Future long-term care costs could triple in the next 25 years.
