The good news for struggling veterans these days is there are many organizations ready to help them in almost any way they need.

That’s certainly true of the Brookeville, Maryland-based organization Hero Dogs, which provides vets in need with free, fully trained service dogs.

The dogs in question go through about three years of training before they live with area veterans.

They can work with those who have suffered a number of problems, from hearing loss to mental health issues like PTSD.

The organization is so well-recognized for its work that Bruce Springsteen regularly invites representatives to his concerts in the area to educate the public about what they do.

The more that can be done to help veterans in many facets of life, the better off their entire communities will be. Thanks for watching.
