Books are one of the most requested items in military care packages. In Part 1 of this video series, we discussed a couple good titles to send to your deployed servicemember. Now, let’s talk about a couple more.
“The Killer Angels” by Michael Shaara is an excellent book to send because it humanizes the leaders of the Civil War and reminds the reader of the courage and strength it takes to serve.
You might also consider sending “Starship Troopers” by Robert A. Heinlein. The science fiction elements of this novel could provide a diverting escape for military members.
