When veterans enter life after service, many make the decision to go back to school to pursue further education. While this can be a daunting process, there are a number of universities that are considered veteran-friendly.
The University of Alabama is widely recognized as a welcoming institution of higher education for former servicemembers. They even have a Campus Veterans Association and Veteran Work Study Program.
The University of Oklahoma is another great institution for veterans. OU provides student-veterans with access to the Warrior-Scholar Project and the Veteran Support Alliance Fund. It is also home to a local chapter of the national Student Veterans of America.
