Hello, and thanks for tuning in to our series on what items to send deployed soldiers. When your loved one is stationed overseas, you want to make sure the care packages you send are filled with useful products. You also want to provide your servicemember with some entertainment during his or her assignment.
Help your soldier have fun during his or her downtime by providing things like books and magazines, board games, playing cards and electronic games. Send some writing materials overseas as well. Include stationery, stamps, pens and a personal journal to help your loved one document his or her experience.
If you’re sending electronic games, toys or appliances, be sure to include extra batteries in your package. Remove the batteries from the item before shipping just in case it turns on accidentally in transit.
