The sad fact is that many veterans suffer mental scars from their service even if they were physically unharmed. As a result, many struggle with mental health issues and loneliness.

Fortunately, organizations around the country exist specifically to deal with emotional scars, including a successful one just outside Denver. The Mountain Resource Center has been offering support of this kind – and more – since 2014, and is making a huge difference in the lives of many vets.

Veterans who struggle with mental health, or otherwise need assistance in getting the help they need, would do well to reach out to any organization in their community. These groups are equipped with the right resources to lend a hand to ex-servicemembers in need.
