People say they want to help veterans on a regular basis, but it doesn’t always work out that way. This is, unfortunately, true when it comes to a lot of employers in particular.
A recent poll showed that more than 4 out of 5 employers see veterans as heroes.
However, only 26 percent think of them as being assets to their communities.
This odd disconnect comes at a difficult time for many vets, who may be struggling to find work after finishing their service.
There has always been some evidence that average people don’t understand what veterans go through, and this only serves to underscore the problem.
The more employers, advocacy organizations, and veterans alike can do to help bridge these gaps, the better off everyone will be.
Thanks for watching, and be sure to check back again soon for more news about veterans.
