Hello, and welcome back to our series on ways to communicate with your loved one when he or she is deployed overseas. Last time, we discussed researching reliable cellphone plans and setting a regular call schedule. Let’s take a look at some more ways to stay in touch.
While it might seem like an old-fashioned idea, writing letters is an excellent way to stay connected to your soldier. Unlike phone calls, you aren’t depending on each other’s schedules or unreliable technology. You can take as much time as you need to craft the perfect letter and include all the small details of your day you didn’t get to discuss over the phone.
Take your letters to the next level by adding pictures. If you have kids, let them decorate the papers and envelopes with glitter and stickers.
Thanks for tuning in.
