AFBA understands that some of our members may experience financial hardship and may find it difficult to continue making contributions (payments) for their life insurance benefit as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. The protection of our members and their families is always our mission, especially in these challenging times.
If you find yourself in this situation, we are here to help. Please contact our customer service team so we can answer your questions and address your concerns by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 1-800-776-2322 Mon. – Fri. 8AM – 6PM EST. While we cannot waive the premium due, we can work with you on a payment schedule to bring your premiums current over time.
Per their Governors’ Orders, insureds in Arkansas and Oregon may choose to defer premium payment until August 17.
Death benefits are funded by life insurance underwritten by 5Star Life Insurance Company. New York state policies are underwritten by New York Life.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have temporarily extended premium payment periods to ensure that impacted members continue to remain insured even if they are having difficulty making premium payments at this time.
If you have been impacted by COVID-19 or the Stay At Home orders and are having difficulty making premium payments, please contact us to see how we can help. While we cannot waive the premium due, we can work with you on a payment schedule to bring your premiums current over time.
